St. Vincent and the Grenadines has, over the past week, strengthened its diplomatic relations with three long standing allies.

This comes as newly appointed Non-Resident Ambassadors from the Kingdom of the Netherlands, United States of America, and the Republic of Nicaragua presented Letters of Credence to His Excellency Sir Frederick Ballantyne, Governor General of St. Vincent and the Grenadines at Government House.

His Excellency Jules Bijl, Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands presented his credentials on Tuesday, 8 March 2016, Her Excellency Linda Taglialatela, Ambassador of the United States of America presented on Wednesday, 9 March 2016, and His Excellency Valdrack Ludwig Jaentschke, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Nicaragua with responsibility for the Caribbean, presented his Letter of Credence on Tuesday, 15 March 2016.

St. Vincent and the Grenadines established diplomatic relations with the United States of America on October 27, 1979, with the Kingdom of the Netherlands on 8 April 1981 and with the Republic of Nicaragua on 28 June 1991. Over the years St. Vincent and the Grenadines has engaged in mutually beneficial partnerships with all three countries that have promoted economic development.
